After my dental surgery my old night guard (from the dentist) didn't fit *quite* like it used to, but I didn't want it at the expense of another customs officer so I decided to try it. Both my friend and I made bite guards and the process was very simple and easy, but it made sleeping uncomfortable for us. It's amazing that you can make your own bite guard, but the hard plastic base is so wide that once molded it leaves sharp edges that are uncomfortable for your tongue and the hard base is more uncomfortable for your bottom teeth if you are a music lover. I'll keep it just in case, but I think I'll have to shell out another one from my dentist.
