Bye Bye Clay Bars for Cloths

So I've been using clay for the last 15 years and am very happy with the results. Yes, you have to kneel and watch out for muddy clay and eventually throw it away, but clay has always gotten the job done and at a lower cost. So I finally took the plunge and tried this autoscrub towel. I used it with Prima Hydro 1:6 diluted with water as a lubricant. One might ask, why use Prima Hydro and not a special clay lubricant? Well, Nanoskin suggests using a product they sell called Nanoshock as an alternative lube, which is a lube/instant sealer all in one. Prima Hydro is also an instant sealant spray so I got sick of it and it worked like a towel lube. Results: The surface was very smooth and easily removed excess paint and environmental contaminants. I built (3) cars in one day because it was a lot of fun to feel the results. The products work faster than clay and dare I say I feel like they actually did a better job. Plus the product still looks serviceable. I don't know how long I can use it before I have to throw it away. In general I have changed. I will be replacing clay with autoscrub in my personal detailing toolkit! Yes, it's more expensive than clay, but judging by my early testing and production. argues that the lifespan of this product should ultimately make it cheaper than clay in a cost-benefit scenario.
