We had a dresser that started eating slides alive. When I started finding ball bearings in the carpet, I finally had to look into the new guides. All three sets of drawer slides replaced with 12" versions. They were much better than the ones that came from the factory. Drawers have never been so easy to open and close. My only complaint is that they sent conical screws but no cone to screw into the metal rails. Should be pan head screws. I was able to reuse old screws, but if you're building a piece of furniture that would be pretty frustrating. I can't vouch for how long these slides last well, but I would recommend them and buy them again.
