The simplest adapter I've ever used and it looks good too. I really like the braided flex cable, but to really use it I use a USB dock/extension cable at my desk and keep both the adapter and headphones plugged in at all times. On Windows I just press the volume icon and select "realtek usb 2.0 audio headphones" as the playback device. The headphone volume is set independently of my speakers, and Windows remembers each setting when I switch between them. In the properties of the device I see the available 2-channel 24-bit 96 kHz, as it says in the description. - 30 kHz at 63 ohms), I turn it on over the network and listen carefully. then I plug it into the adapter and listen again. The adapter does not emit an audible hiss or other noise when no audio is playing. It's almost like they're turned off. If it helps, my own listening range is 14-15500 Hz.
