I bought a Queen/Full and have enjoyed its warm, cozy perfection since the night it showed up on my doorstep two weeks ago. The usual complaints about this blanket (it pills too much, smells) I found right away. However, there is a simple solution to the above problems: first wash your duvet with Woolite on the gentle cycle and add plenty of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Don't wash it once but TWICE with white vinegar on the rinse cycle both times. For the second wash, perform an additional extra rinse and an extra spin cycle to keep the item as dry as possible. Second, put it in the dryer with a few drying towels for 20 minutes. Check for dryness, if not dry enough, continue drying at 10 minute intervals, checking each time. Hooray! Not only warm and soft, but also less fluff and no more bad smell. Contrary to popular belief, wool can be machine washed at home, you just have to be careful.
