(Review from wife) I've tried to be frugal and bought ON jelly products ($8-$13 depending on supply) and they can be easily strapped to a child who doesn't walk and barely crawls. But once they become more mobile, you need a shoe that offers some support and stays on your feet. That's why these mini musicals by Melissa Campana are bestsellers. In fact, they are very flexible, the sole flexes a little. This provides comfort for bulging legs that are actively crawling, re-rising and travelling. As other reviewers have pointed out they are a little small so go up the size. My 13 month old fits a size 4 on most other brands and a size 5 fits perfectly. It should be a size 6 to be honest. The smell is also pleasant but strong when you open the box.
