Design prevents secure clamping
There is a screw in the wide C-shaped part of the base clamp that sticks out. This screw interferes with the flat, wide part of the base C, which is pressed against the table top, causing the clamp to rotate back and forth on the screw head. For this reason it is not very safe. This screw is visible in the photos.
