I bought these speakers almost 2 years ago as rear speakers for $166 to finish my new 5.1 Klipsch reference line. I've only had bookshelf speakers for surround sound in the past, so I love how this design spreads the sound for a wider soundstage. Since my section is on the back wall of my home theater, it helps not to have that kind of directional surround sound. The sound quality is excellent to me with excellent mids, highs and reasonably good bass. I'm guessing they have a woofer tweeter as my old Yamahas only had small woofers and lacked clarity. The only downside is that they don't match the wood texture of the new Reference series, but I knew that when I bought them. The design and cost of the speakers are a steal as Klipsch doesn't currently make this style. They are still reference speakers so I take the liberty of having all the appropriate speakers.
