This is not surgical steel. It doesn't bother my ear, but the tip turns the ear green, which is caused by the copper oxidation reaction. A good example of this is the Statue of Liberty. Be transparent about the materials used as it was not clearly stated that copper was the material used and this is misleading information. This item should be removed from Amazon unless it is fully and clearly stated that it is copper and not surgical steel.
