At least 1 review here says this monitor is not 4k. Not true. I have personally run this monitor on a 2016 MacBook at 4k and a Surface Pro 7 at 4k. I sympathize with the misguided reviewer - getting this monitor to work at 4k wasn't easy. I needed a Mac specific cable (anchor) and MS hub for Surface. Other hubs and adapters wanted to output 4k at 30Hz and this monitor wants 60Hz. The monitor itself isn't flashy. No glossy screen to "really appreciate" the high resolution; and side-view sharpness isn't great (but it's not junk either). However, for a single operator in front of a monitor, delivering 4K to your desktop is worth the low price. Color rendering is very good; brightness is very good; Contrast could be better (my tablet at the bottom of my computer screen is dark gray instead of black). As a general rule, this monitor isn't the best, but it's damn good. Physical stability is good. There's no height adjustment, but the screen tilts. A test criticized the lower guides on the back. it's okay - the monitor has two HDMI connectors and one DP. and it automatically detects what's active, so you can just plug it in and forget it. One issue - no speakers - although it does have a headphone jack (which my Surface recognizes for independent control). I wouldn't normally worry about speakers (my computer and MED have their own speakers, and any speaker you put in a monitor most likely won't be great) - but hey, it's 28" and 4k. Plug in You put a Fire Stick or Chromecast in this thing and you have a TV - so my old Fire Stick requires me to plug my headphones into a Bluetooth speaker with volume control. Not ideal. But who needs speakers for a monitor? And for the price, it is a very comfortable solution for 4k.
