I chose the Chromebook on the advice of a software developer friend of mine. He uses Chromebook all the time for work and writes complex programs for business. I decided to start migrating from the Apple universe and the CB-514-C7 was my first purchase. I couldn't be happier. It handles daily web browsing, watching movies and TV shows, emails and other normal things quite well. Due to the sufficiently deep key drop, the keyboard feels very comfortable. A 14-inch touchscreen in a 12-inch body is a real space and weight saver. I typically get over 10-11 hours of battery life at around 75% brightness, 12+ hours on the dimmer setting (including for a backlit keyboard; there are five levels for this) is a reasonable expectation. I've had this Chromebook for about a month and have absolutely nothing to complain about.
