Review on 🪨 Naniwa IO 1142 Japanese Sharpening Flattening Stone by Brian Page

Contrary to some other reviews on this product, mine arrived in perfect condition, not broken at all. I used it to smooth a 1000/6000 stone and it worked great. I didn't develop any sunken parts of the stone as reported in other reviews. This leads me to believe that this was a technique used by others (though I'm not trying to criticize them here). One thing you should know is that I am fairly new to stone cutting. So if you've been sharpening knives for more than a year or two, take this rating with a grain of salt. Another issue was the durability of the stone, but after I repaired my rather badly worn whetstone, it barely made a dent in this leveling stone. I think it should stay good for me for at least a couple of years. It seems that the quality of the stone can vary depending on the purchase, so it may depend on fate. Mine arrived safely. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
