This razor is definitely very well made. He's a good weight for his weight. The open/close mechanism seems very reliable. I've been using this product for about three months and it has never come off while shaving. The blades fit very well. The handle is also very handy. I had no problem slipping with a wet grip or wet hands. And most importantly, it's very easy to keep clean. A simple, unused toothbrush will clean them of soap scum from time to time. The most exciting thing about owning this safety razor is the amount of money you save over the life of the product. I've been shaving for about ten years and only use cartridge razors. I have thick facial hair that grows fairly quickly. I could easily spend $100 a year just to refill cartridges. Having spent so much money, I used to buy very cheap shaving cream in a can. With this safety razor, a pack of 100 blades costs me $10 a year. This allows me to buy much higher quality soaps and shaving products which improves the overall quality of my shave. I've always had very sensitive skin. Razor burns, razor bumps and ingrown hairs are all types of skin irritations. No matter what I did, my face and skin were very unsightly the next day. I accepted the fact that my face was always trimmed and cropped. I hated shaving so much. When I first heard about the safety razor, I jumped in and tried it out. I'll admit, don't be surprised that you might end up with more nicks and cuts in your first few shaves. With time, practice, and new techniques, you'll get better at it and reduce the number of cuts. Some shaves will not cut your skin at all. It took weeks and weeks for my skin to heal properly after using cartridge razors. Now I can shave very gently while skin irritation is significantly reduced. I shave across the grain, which helps me be as close to my skin as possible and also semi-soft. The biggest advantage of safety razors was the environmental impact. I'm a big environmentalist and significantly reducing plastic consumption will do wonders for the environment. The handle is made entirely of metal, the razor blades are also made of metal. There is no plastic ending up in landfills or floating in the ocean disrupting the ecosystem. There are so many benefits to using a safety razor. Low cost, high quality, environmental friendliness. Take your time, let the weight of the razor do its job, watch tons of YouTube tutorials to get the best shave. With time and practice, you may even enjoy shaving. For people with sensitive skin, I highly recommend using a safety razor.
