This was exactly what I wanted and perfect for what I was looking for. I would give 5 stars but 1 small problem. I will explain. I bought 2 of these and again it was exactly what I was looking for. They came with a matte cardstock that was pre-cut and I'm sure it would be perfect for photos. What I wanted to frame is a custom sized image so I had to cut my own board. That wasn't a problem and I knew I had to do that from the start. My 1 star rating is due to the Lexan or plastic coating on what you frame. In the first picture I noticed some dents or scratches on the thin protective film covering the Lexan. As soon as I took the tape off, the Lexan got really scratched. Small but still there. What I was framing didn't show it very well, so I went ahead and just kept going. I switched to a second frame and there were those scratches again. I was wondering what the heck was going on as 2 out of 2 of my frames had these scratches on the Lexan. Then I noticed that they come with some handy little wall hangers that you can just hammer into the wall where you can hang and hang your photos. Well after looking at these little wall hangers I put 2 and 2 together. These are small plastic hangers with three steel pegs that stick into the wall for you to hang your photos on. Yes, you guessed it, those little wall hangers were the culprit. Both frames had plastic wall mounts on the front of the frames, and during shipping, small steel pins scratched the Lexan's surface through the protective film. Yes, they are good and make mounting images easier. You will receive 3 with each frame but please use common sense and apply them to the back of the frame as there is no protective film to prevent the steel pins from scratching the plastic surface during shipping. Anyone who packs these things should think about it. It's like building a nice chicken coop with a security fence and then catching a fox in the coop. This is pilot error at a fundamental level. In addition, the frames are excellent and at a good price. Customize the packaging types. That's all.
