I have had an old computer for 9 years. It still works, but it's slow! The new computer is very fast in comparison. In the old 12 GB memory. It seemed like a lot when I bought it, but there are a lot of hard drive swaps. This combined with the fact that it uses a disk-based hard drive makes it very slow. So the new one has 64 GB of storage, plus 2 TB SSD. It's much faster! The first thing that struck me when I opened the box was that it was smaller and lighter than the old computer. I am pleased. I expected it to be about the same. When I bought an old computer, dual-core processors were common, 4-core processors were less common, but I settled on a 6-core AMD processor. After 9 years I was hoping to double the number of cores, but for that I needed an AMD Ryzen 9 processor which would be too expensive for me, so I bought an AMD Ryzen 7 with 8 cores. When I restart my old computer, it takes about 20 minutes to boot up. A new computer takes less than 30 seconds! Wow what a difference! I don't play games on my computer, so I don't have a fancy graphics card. Initially I had a problem when I move the mouse to wake up the computer, the screen was messed up. Unplugging and replacing the monitor cable fixed the issue. However, updating the driver solved the problem. I've had this computer for about a month now and this is the only problem I've had. I've loved this new computer since I got it. I highly recommend it if you are considering buying it.
