This USB-C dock works as advertised. I use it to connect my Sager NP 9876. Given the size of this laptop, it doesn't move too much, but it's nice not to mess with 4-5 wires when you do this. Those who give it bad ratings because they don't. If you don't have a DisplayPort-enabled USB-C docking port or a non-MTS laptop, do more research. It actually comes with a USB-A adapter too, in case your laptop doesn't have a USB-C port like my "Dock". The important part is that such a docking connector requires more bandwidth than your traditional USB ports. If you try to plug it into an old USB A or C port it seems to work but is very choppy and the video resolution is reduced or scrambling. It has plenty of ports for everything you need on the back and offers 2 easy-to-access USB ports (1 USB-A and 1 USB-C) on either side. Compatibility with most USB hubs like this is there, but as long as you don't plug in a lot of weird adapter combinations, 99% of things should work. I had a strange issue because it's connected from a KVM switch which has its own USB compatibility issues which are annoying when used together. DVI display port adapters don't seem to work well with this either, so try clean connections to the display port. . Again, this could just be a compatibility issue with my converter.
