It didn't work at first but I needed it so I replaced the 5 hole plastic tray and then it worked. Visually, I couldn't tell any difference between the two, but they are definitely different. Another annoyance was that the remote didn't work until I removed the battery base plate. I ended up having trouble finding someone willing to carve the damn key (only place was Ace Hardware). Original remote control with white foam square. It's also not clear why the picture for this remote has a hole on the back, luckily I didn't have a hole. The bottom line is, don't buy this if you don't need it!
