I installed this in our kitchen , next to the counter. So far it has worked well and been used to charge iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy phones, etc. The sockets are tamper-proof, which is important if you have young children in your family. There are a lot of non-branded USB/AC connectors these days, but I'm not sure I trust lazy companies when installing a permanent electrical device in my home, which is why I chose GE. .
