These shirts are unacceptably thin. Some t-shirts can be a little thin and a little transparent in the right light. They are so thin that they not only show the nipples but also any hair and freckles that may be on your body. The collar and cuffs have a denser fabric and appear white. The main part of the shirt is so thin that it looks pink due to the skin showing through. I would never be that alone. Even with an undershirt, the color contrast between the collar and torso will draw attention and be oddly distracting when your overshirt is partially open. I'm 5'11", 145 lbs, 32" waist, slim build and I wanted a slim fitting shirt as most regular t shirts are cut to fit the ever increasing US height and I like fit a sail . The small size was too tight unless you like a tight fit. The medium size was perfect for trimming. It fitted the body and waist with no extra material, but didn't fit. The sleeve length was short enough not to peek out from under the tight polo. I wore Duluth Trading Co. Free Range t-shirts despite the price because of the good quality and fit. Duluth fit well in medium sizes and are only slightly see-through in certain lighting, but their sleeves are an inch longer and protrude under some polo shirts I wear.
