This radio reminds me a lot of my favorite "transistor radio" that my father gave me as a child in the early 1960s! In the past "Covid year" I have become one of those people who leave the radio on and play at a very low volume all night. This radio is great for that purpose. The batteries I installed when it first came out - standard alkaline - still work after many weeks of 5-8 hours of nightly use. No lightbulbs on the radio disturb sleep and local and regional stations are crisp and clear. It's also very portable and compact, making it ideal for picnics, fishing boats, or simply moving from room to room in your home.
