We bought these for our 2 year old. They are as cute as can be but I was hoping the strap would be in the forward position like regular Crocs. We left the straps on my 3 year old's Crocs on the front and it helped him take responsibility for putting on and taking off his own shoes. Unfortunately, the strap on this pair doesn't fully reveal the front of the shoe when you try this, so you'll have to secure it behind your child's foot every time you put them on. Fastening of the band behind the foot. The velcro is strong so it holds up well. But you will need some skill to even secure it.
