Review on 🌑️ Inkbird ITC-1000F All-Purpose Digital Temperature Controller With 2 Relays - Fahrenheit/Centigrade Thermostat for Refrigerator and Fermenter by Donald Vargas

Excellent economical temperature controller for most applications

I love these units and have bought them for various purposes. The included Type-K thermocouple is accurate enough to measure up to 0.1 degree resolution. The few times I've used them, they're very close to actual temperature (+/- 1 degree) and provide a temperature "shift" in case you need to make adjustments. I've used it to replace the mechanical thermostat in a 1930's Westinghouse fridge and it works great. I also used this to build a chicken incubator. Again, this works great. It has an internal relay that handles quite a bit and you can always run it through a "solid state relay" to power whatever you need. If you're using this to remodel your fridge I highly recommend you also purchase compressor starting capacitors which are also sold here at Revain. I'm glad to have such value in such a cheap package. Actually you can use this for a sous vide controller too. The only downside is that while the resolution is up to 0.1 degrees Fahrenheit, the control range is at least 1 degree. For example, if you want to hold exactly 100 degrees, the heater will turn on at 99 degrees and stop at 100, then turn back on at 99 degrees. One degree is the minimum range you can set. If you need a tighter control range, I recommend buying a PID controller. However, for the vast majority of applications, this cannot be better. The range is adjustable (on / off) at will, but not less than 1 degree. It can be set to display C or F. It also has a setting to prevent "short cycles". that is, cycling the compressor on and off so many times that it burns out faster. The parameter sets the timer to the minimum time from the last operation to switching on and vice versa. For example, you can set the cycle to at least 3 minutes (factory setting). The probe cable is approximately 6 feet long and the probe itself is plastic coated and is just over 1/2 inch long. It seems fairly responsive (you hold it in your hand and it heats up at around 1 degree Fahrenheit per second or faster). I hope you find this review helpful.
