Cannot support the weight of a paper towel roll.

I've had this for 6 months now and I hate it. My husband (a carpenter) screwed it to the bottom of our closet and it never lay flat. It started with a slight angle up to the post, but gradually increased the angle over time. At first I could pull up the part holding my hand and it amused me for about an hour, then fell again. Now I can't tighten it at all and it just hangs down. Soon the towels just slide off. Total waste of money, I had to leave mine broken on the counter, it annoyed me less than this one.
