Works great so far. The block appears to be well put together. But the best part is how well it fits in the hole I drilled. I have installed many desktop spacers, outlets, wireless chargers and even cup holders and most of the time there is a lot of dirt left between the device and the hole. Not in this case. It was the perfect match. The device has compressible tabs on the side that snap into the hole and provide resistance. On a 1-inch table, the tabs actually snap just below the surface, locking the device in place. Edit: I saw some mentions that the device can still be rotated. A small bead of 100% clear silicone sealant under the lip solves this problem. I recommend silicone sealant for most desktop items. Not only does it provide a secure fit, but it also protects against accidental spills under the device.
