This is a preliminary review and does not reflect my long term review of this product. I ordered three of these. They arrived three days later, two weeks before I was notified of their arrival. The delivery time was very impressive. Considering the costs, this device makes a solid impression. This is a sturdy device made of durable plastic and aluminum. It also has a hefty weight. The overall look, construction and weight are actually better than I was hoping for. Requires 9 volts which are not included. The battery compartment is also impressive: the battery is well wedged; It is unlikely to accidentally fall out. The battery compartment also closes very securely. I have found that devices I have purchased will beep if the sensitivity setting (Low-Medium-High) is set to High when the battery is installed. Setting it to "Low" when inserting the battery solved that minor issue. You may want to turn on the alarm first by placing a pillow on the device. it is very loud. In the future I hope to solve the problem that others have noticed of the device not staying stuck but sliding on the floor. I will check it. Overall, this is a solid little device that looks well made. I'll report back later.
