Review on Thermometer Hevanto Grilling Detachable Backlight by Tony Winn

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but the whole reason I bought this thermometer was the "instant read" feature. All reviews said it was instant. It's slower than my last $6 thermometer. I can't speak for the probing feature, I haven't used it yet, but the flip-down thermometer definition doesn't read instantly and is actually very slow. Gave low stars for accuracy because I never got the temp. My hand was getting too hot waiting for it to finally reach the right temperature. The numbers and display are clear and the instructions seem simple enough. If you don't need the Instant Read feature, you might like it. However, I will have to send it back.
