didn't think to test this cable before installation. I run a lot of cables so I can assure you that every precaution has been taken not to damage this cable. The ends were protected, there were no sharp bends in the installation path. The cable was bad and the image on the monitor was double. We tried another monitor that is known to work and had the same display issues. We have requested a refund and replacement. We will test the new cable to make sure it's good. If so, I'll update my post.
