It took about three minutes to replace the latch. Most of the time I unscrewed the access panel and tried to loosen old connections on a broken latch. The new replacement part works great, however the dishwasher doesn't seem to snap into place as tightly as it used to. Just in case, I also installed the new gasket that came with the kit. Gasket installation took about 3 more minutes. I just had to cut off the bottom a bit after making sure it fitted properly. We ran the dishwasher several times and there wasn't a single leak. The new latch seems very strong and I expect it will hold up for the rest of our dishwasher's life. Oh, the item shipped from Tennessee and arrived in Maryland two days later. Excellent service and fast delivery!
