Urgently needed two suits. One for 7 years, the other for 12. Both of my boys are above average height for their age - 2nd place in each of their classes (1st class and 7th class). They also have a strong physique - not fat, but not skinny either. A size 8 suit was perfect for my 7 year old and a size 16 was wearable but a bit small for a 12 year old. So we reordered a size 18. The size 18 was a bit big for him but allowed him to breathe. I liked that the shirt and tie came complete with the vest, jacket and pants. We also bought socks and shoes separately. You can consider buying a belt. Although it didn't come with a belt, the pants have elastic at the back and hold up well. The waistcoat hides the lack of a belt. We needed them for an earlier than expected funeral and they suited our needs perfectly. The material is thin as you would expect for the price but looked very nice on boys.
