Yes, small. Go up half a size like everyone says. But even if you are used to soft and comfortable slippers/mules like the Merrells, this is not the shoe for you. They look great, fit great once broken in (despite the small size) but the soles are rock hard and not very flexible for me. I'm sure they will last a lot for years and have great traction but they won't be my choice if I just want to give my tired feet a break from other shoes!
