"Well, it's just some kind of holiday" (c). Definitely my favorite lens. In the hand lies like a native, all adjustments are smooth and precise, ergonomics are just on top. The picture is sharp and clear at all FRs and at any aperture value. Constant aperture, tenacious and peppy AF. Shooting sports events, squirrel birds, planes on the glide path, animals in enclosures - this is what it was created for (certainly not for photographing hummingbirds from 10 meters at 85% of the frame). As soon as I bought it, on my first vacation in Corfu I spent hours running through the mountains at dawn hunting for soaring predators. With all this, it is also an excellent portraiture. Especially the combination of FR and nimble and tenacious AF make it indispensable when shooting children playing on the street, unaware that they are being filmed, which allows you to make very interesting non-staged shots. Photographing the moon with this lens is a treat in its own right. The kit includes a hood and a case. The hood from the inside, like the inside of the lens at the rear lens, is made of fleecy material that traps dust and other small debris. Shooting in rain or snow, even in the wind due to the large lens hood is not a problem - the lens remains clean. Distortions during shooting are minimal and in general the material he shoots almost does not require any post-processing. In a nutshell, this is a chic lens that you don’t want to shoot, but only take and take photos with it. Choosing a simple 4l or 2.8, but more expensive, as well as with or without a stub, is everyone's business. I thought that 4l is enough for me - it is lighter than the others, smaller in size and does not drain the battery as much. Now I would still buy 2.8 without a stub. Let it cost like two 4l, but at dusk or on a fairly cloudy day, it becomes very difficult to shoot a moving object. The situation can be corrected with a long-range flash, of course, but nonetheless. Summing up, this is the best TV of all that I have tried, and it is 4l that is also more than adequate for the price. Along with the 50mm prime, this is a must-have lens.
