Bought this for my mum to replace her 2010 1st gen Acer i3. She loves it. I chose this laptop because Ryzen offers the best graphics and processing power in a single chip. Sure, you could get better performance by pairing an i7 8550U or even an 8250U with a graphics card, but that would just use more power (and therefore battery life) and be wasteful for those who wouldn't be using the system for gaming. . A discrete graphics card is also another part that can generate heat and/or fail, Ryzen is not an issue. Unlike other mid-range Ryzen processors on the market, this one has the all-important SSD, and unlike Lenovo, it's exactly the size we've been looking for in the market. The rest of the Ryzen laptops you can get now are premium, expensive, and designed for gamers. And a laptop with just an i7 and no graphics card isn't going to match that in terms of overall performance. I've been chasing this for a while and took the plunge when the price dropped to $675 in what will hopefully be another 8 year old laptop. maybe better, but I thought the premium for Swift 3 was worth the weight loss. The keyboard lighting is also good. The only problem was a little weird when the wireless chip got an error (code 10) which doesn't work but after uninstalling the driver in device manager and installing an updated driver via USB it does. , Everything was in order. Some reviews complained about the sharp edge on the front so I was expecting it to be razor sharp but to be honest it was fine, no sharper than a regular table edge. less than what I've seen on HP laptops before. Overall very happy with this pack, will update if anything comes up.
