The doctors still don't understand what hurts me - hips, lumbar, lower back. I am a wreck. I experience episodes of hip pain that debilitate me. But DAS is wrapped very tightly around my hips = problem almost solved. It's really very important. Very high quality finish - excellent. I wouldn't recommend wearing it under clothing simply because the velcro can be uncomfortable and scratchy if the edges don't overlap perfectly (I think you can get around this by just slipping a paper towel underneath). The only downside is that you have to take it off and put it back on when you go to the bathroom (if you wear it over your clothes). If your hip hurts, it will bring you great relief.
