Review on BXT by Aaron Ethridge

BXT's High-Quality Components Are a Major Letdown.

I was eager to test out BXT equipment because riding is a hobby of mine. Unfortunately, my interactions with their components have been nothing but dissatisfying. Their components, despite their stellar image, have been nothing but a hassle to work with. To begin, their costs are excessively high. Despite the company's assurances that their goods are of the highest quality, I found them to be on par with the competition. I could have gotten equivalent products from other brands for much less money. Second, the individual components tend to break easily. A BXT wheelset only lasted a few months before it needed to be replaced. The wheel was useless due to constantly broken spokes. After contacting customer support, I was met with silence and no suggestions for a resolution. Last but not least, their support staff is useless. I tried to get in touch with them about a problem I was having with my wheelset, but they were unresponsive and disinterested. They even insinuated, falsely, that I was to blame for the destruction. In general, if you're in the market for dependable bike parts, I wouldn't go with BXT. Their goods and customer service have not met my expectations, despite the fact that they have a stellar reputation. Don't bother, and check out some other names instead.

Pros
  • superior goods.
Cons
  • Few traditional businesses made of brick and mortar.
