A Disappointing Finish for GSI Aqueous Color H21 Gloss Off White: 10Ml Bottle

As someone who has dabbled in miniature model painting for years, I was intrigued by the GSI Aqueous Color H21 Gloss Off White. The promise of a perfect finish was too good to pass up, so I decided to give it a try. First, the good news - the 10ml bottle is a great size for small projects, and the off-white color was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The application of this gloss was extremely patchy and streaky, which was a huge disappointment. I had to go over the same areas multiple times to get an even finish, and even then there were plenty of imperfections. Another issue I had with this gloss was the drying time. Despite leaving it to dry for hours, it still felt tacky and never completely hardened. This made it difficult to handle my project without worrying about smudging or ruining the finish. Overall, I give the GSI Aqueous Color H21 Gloss Off White a three-star rating. While the color is good and the bottle size is convenient, the patchy application and slow drying time make it a less than ideal choice for model painting.

Pros
  • - The off-white color is versatile and can be used for a variety of projects, from military models to cars and planes.
Cons
  • The gloss finish of this paint may make it more difficult to apply, as it can be more prone to streaking or showing brush strokes
