My water pump on wheels worked and stopped, worked and stopped, repeated. After this storage tank was installed, the pump ran long enough to pressurize and shut down the system. The water pump is quieter because it doesn't run as often and gradually stops. This helped eliminate water hammer from water pipes. This is a built in pressurized bladder tank that adds cushioning to your system. This worked for me. Please read the instructions as the tank is shipped without air (unpressurized). Be sure to put the right amount of compressed air in the tank. Check pump for PSI activation. Read the instructions. Fill in air slowly to avoid over-pressurizing and destroying the container. Make sure the pipeline is open so there is no pressure in the line. After installation, turn on the water pump with the hot and cold water valves open. This will remove the air from the lines. Close both valves after water starts to flow from the hot and cold sides. The pump should purr as it fills your new tank.
