This is my fourth purchase of a Netvue camera. I have two other VIGIL outdoor cameras (version 1) at home and they work very well. With minimal testing, the VIGIL 2 appears to have an improved camera with a wider dynamic range - with the VIGIL 2 having a better apparent balance with shadows and highlights when the view takes on a bright day with shadows. Setting up the camera is quite easy. Determining where to connect a power source is always a challenge as you must balance the optimal camera position with the available power sources. This is a compromise not to buy battery systems. The wifi antennas are good and the 1080p stream doesn't seem to have any noticeable impact on my network. The app runs stable on my Android phone.
