Bought for aesthetic reasons. I wish there were fewer cables on my desk. However, the female USB-C connector needs to be connected in a specific way for all USB 2.0 devices to work. So my mouse and keyboard don't work when connected the same way, but when I flip them over, they work. This is annoying as the cable doesn't actually twist, so the 90 degree connector orientation is determined for you based on that. What this means to me is that the 90 degree connector is now pointing away from my computer. The build quality is excellent, I can say it will last a long time. It looks good and will work for most people.
