Love everything about it.almost. Can't believe I've been without one of these things for a dozen+ years, so much easier than cranking the neck. It is a nice pliable yet firm rubber with a decent adhesive back that secures it. Need to mess around with optimal placement of it on the phone, maybe an inch one way or other for best shoulder/ear fit, before removing the sticky peel. Color ordered was "charcoal" - which I take to be as flat black (unless they had said charcoal gray) - it's not. Actual color is simply a dark gray, nothing charcoal about it, would match perfectly with the battleship gray western electric rotary phone we grew up with.
