Review on Charging Protector Recharging Extension Powerstrip by Andy Baudoin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Suitable for college use when only one plug is available

This is good because you have an extra plug and you can carry one too. For me, my college cafeteria only has two outlets and each only has two slots, so this is a lifesaver as it gives me an extra port and allows me to charge my phone and tablet. This is a surge protector that protects your device from too much current. The first thing to note about this product is that it ONLY has two ports and three USB ports. This is extremely restrictive and only gives you one extra plug, so be aware. In my opinion, it is only suitable for traveling. The nice thing is that it's an angled plug, so you don't have to worry about wasting space on your entire outlet because of the plug. Works great and is holding up very well. At the same time, it can work with multiple USB devices (three USB ports) at the same time and protect your devices from overload. It has a good cable length compared to the real device, which is nice. You don't have to worry about it being too short. You can route it away from the wall, but remember that the cable is quite thick, so it's more difficult to turn it into a straight cable. The nylon fiber cable protects it well from wear and tear, but it does get dusty. I love that it has three extra USB sockets so I don't have to worry about plugging in USB wall outlets anymore. I have things like a tablet and phone that plug into a USB charging port. This frees up space for other things. This is ideal if you're just trying to carry a small surge protector and don't need the extra ports. You only get three USB ports that do NOT support fast charging. The plugs inside are very strong, so you don't have to worry about a cable being easily pulled out. USB ports are not designed for fast charging. So if you intend to use them to charge tablets and phones, be aware. At the same time, it has enough power to easily carry a fire staff. It doesn't give off too much heat, but keep it outdoors if possible. All in all, this is a good mini surge protector. The only downside is that you only get two ports and three USB ports. It's really meant to hit the road.
