Review on Vera Bradley Cotton All-in-One Crossbody Purse with Built-in RFID Protection by Kristine Carrillo

video lies! in Bags & Purses

My first thought upon opening this bag was that I was terribly misled by the video that accompanied the description. The video is from an older version that I've had several of and they think I'm really, really perfect in every way. Although this version has the same phone slot and 10 card slots as the older versions, it only has one bill slot instead of four (2 accordions and 2 flats). Yes, the description says "one", but the video shows a lot more. There is also no compartment for zipped coins with bills inside. They removed it from the wallet where it's not so convenient when trying to quickly remove change (coins and bills) at the register. (This probably won't be an issue for those who pay for everything with plastic or phone, but I'm old and I still use cash.) The single bill compartment is spacious enough for a checkbook, so it might come in handy for some. Persons. I'll probably make it work for me using a blank checkbook cover with a crease at the bottom that acts as a divider to give me the four bill sections I'm craving. (It's nice to have an organized place for receipts, coupons, and the like.) They also switched the strap from leather to fabric, which wears out a lot quicker, so I'll hide the old one to get it when the time comes . . (This change is shown correctly in the video.) I suspect that despite the disappointing changes, this Vera bag is still the closest to what I expected and wanted. And I think I can make it work for me with some creative editing. So I reserve the right to be angry, but I'm only deducting one star for not bothering to make an accurate video and thereby misleading the buyer, as well as making changes that aren't good in an otherwise perfect little wallet.
