Having Caran d'Ache coloring pens is like having Rolls Royce cars to drive. Caran d'Ache started operations in Switzerland in 1915 and was officially incorporated in 1924. Today, Caran d'Ache makes colored pencils that are considered the best in their line! I've been using them since I was a kid in elementary school and when I opened this jar they looked so beautiful and so intricate that I was sorry to even take them out of the jar! But I succeeded and I enjoy Caran d'Ache Supracolor. This is just my opinion, but if you consult with experts, they will all place Swiss brand Caran d'Ache at the top of their list. The Caran d'Ache Supracolor metal box set of 12 colored pencils is a great investment and if you like them you can later try the large box which contains 120 colors in three large jars. This was my last Christmas present to my artist brother who grew up surrounded by Caran d'Ache colored pencils. As you can see, Switzerland not only has watches and chocolate bars, but also Caran d'Ache! headquartered in Geneva!
