My roommate has a dashund who exhibits an annoying Weiner dog streak when he urinates when excited or threatened. It's called "submissive urination," but sometimes he'll only urinate because you're only looking at him sideways. The worst part is that you can't even yell at him when he pees on your bed because that will only make him pee more. Since I bought it two months ago, it hasn't peed once on my bed. So honestly I don't know how well it sheds dashund urine or other liquids but for some reason the dog won't come into bed with me anymore. I suspect he doesn't like the mattress topper, but it doesn't make that annoying rustling noise or smell bad or anything, so I'm happy. 5/5
