Review on πŸ”Š ELENKER USB Powered Laptop Speakers - Mini Wired Portable Clip-on Soundbar for Desktop, PC, Monitor, Notebook, Tablets, TV by Tony Cole

Get what you pay for.

You definitely get what you pay for. It's silly to think that $12 speakers are going to turn your world upside down. The advantage of these speakers is that they are small. So if space is an issue, this is the solution. However, the roles are rather weak. There is no way the speakers can remain connected to your computer separately. They hardly stay on your monitor when paired together. If you don't move your computer, hit them, etc. they'll stick, but one push and they fall off. I love that I don't have to plug it into an outlet (you can do that with a USB adapter if you want) so you can use it anywhere by just plugging it into your computer's USB stick. I was also very surprised at how loud these speakers are. They reproduce music fairly well, not so bass-heavy that you can feel the beat but enough to be sure it's there. When watching movies and I can imagine playing video games, however, there is an awkward feedback that is just annoying. I was able to improve it somewhat by computer tweaking the speakers and EQ, but it's still noticeably present. I was planning to return them but I can just keep them in my trailer up north for camping use. We make more music at the campsite than we watch movies, plus everything breaks down there, so it's not a big loss if that happens. In general, these aren't the worst speakers, but for the price, they're below your expectations.

Pros
