So far I like these tires and their solid profile. I decided to add the installation suggested at purchase. I will have more details on the ice and snow results when a storm rolls into my area. I recommend the install option, it's excellent. If you are given the installation option, make an appointment with an installer in your area immediately. The tires are sent straight to the installer and you simply come to the meeting and they are fitted. All I had to do was sign the work order and I left. This is the easiest purchase and installation I've had when buying and installing tires. I tried sending them to me and then I tried to find the installer, it's much easier. I recommend tires and mounting option. Update 02/16/2021: We just had a storm that hit the whole country due to the polar vortex. Here I get a mixture of rain, freezing rain and sleet. I drove to Dunkin this morning and the hill when I pull off our road is usually problematic and very slippery even with sand and salt treatment. There was no sand or salt today and the plow hasn't come yet, but I went off the road and have to go uphill immediately. The traction light on my dash didn't even come on and I only accelerated a bit uphill with no issues or slippage. Hooray I'm impressed I like the tread pattern on these Generals, I had no problems with steering braking or climbing, unlike my last tires I tested on Revain. This is a much better ride, grip, braking and steering on our demanding winter rides. I will definitely take them again and replace my Goodyear eagles I had previously. These are significantly better tires. I have front wheel drive and have no problems with the roads. The city usually has a lot of mud, like a thick layer of grease on the road, and they did a great job with that icy mud mud. I'm glad I bought these tyres, especially now in the middle of our winter ride. I recommend these tires and the mounting option that you have when buying a tire. My delivery to the installer and the installation went great. Yes, I love these tires!
