Life in the Philippines is definitely hot and muggy. That's why I bought them to keep cool. They are too short to wear in public as I live in a more conservative area. I wear them in my walled garden and at home. One of the best purchases I've made. I could actually do without the liner (would cut it out). However, if it weren't there, they probably wouldn't sell since they're aimed at runners. I can't walk anymore, but I walk 30 minutes every day. It certainly makes speed walking more comfortable, zero drag and cooler. There are only three pairs, so they are often washed. I need more but currently the only carrier I trust is having routing issues because they can't get through China (COVID19). When things get better I plan on buying 5-10 more pairs if I don't bite the bullet. All the other shorts are packed except for a couple pairs in case anyone comes in. Otherwise it's all I want to wear at home. All of my more expensive lightweight cargo shorts and hiking shorts are too warm and tight. The only thing that would make them better for me is the lack of lining and zipper. It just suits my needs better, but I'm totally happy with it!
