Great remote control. Only the Guide-Home and OK buttons/arrows are lit. On some very similar models, only the OK button/arrows are lit. The biggest PITA with these remotes is remembering how to program them when the day you need them comes and the instructions are long lost. As a service to humanity, here are some instructions in a font that you can read, copy, paste, and scale to any level you want. Remote controls RCA - DVD or VCR1. Turn on the programmer.2. Press and hold DVD-VCR + 3 (for DVD, DVD-VCR +2 for VCR) (blinks twice) - Sets programming mode to DVD (3) or VCR. (2) You don't need to do this step for TVs or satellite boxes.3. Press and hold DVD-VCR + POWER until the power button lights up and turns off. 4. Enter a Speed Dial Code: (Different for TV, DVD VCR, SAT/Cable Channels) - optional 0-Phillips/Mag 1-Panasonic 2-Samsung 3-Sony 4-Toshiba (skip this step for all brands and display models longer) 5. Press the POWER button, wait 3-5 seconds for the device to respond.6. Press STOP when the device turns off.7. Repeat steps 5 and 6. Press the POWER button until the device turns off. In this case, press STOP. The remote control exits programming mode. Each time you press the POWER button it tries the following code. Remote controls RCA - TV1. Turn on the programmer.2. Skip step 2 on TV, only one option for TV button.3. Press and hold TV + POWER until the power button lights up and turns off. 4. Enter a shortcut code for TV (Different for TV, DVD VCR, Satellite/Cable channels) - optional 0-LG 1-Panasonic 2-Philips/Mag 3-Samsung 4-Vizio takes longer) 5. Press the POWER button , wait 3-5 seconds.6. Press STOP when the device turns off.7. Press and hold the ON/OFF button several times until the device turns off. In this case, press STOP. Remote controls RCA - SAT/CABLE1. Turn on the programmer.2. Skip step 23. Press and hold SAT-CBL STREAM + POWER until the power button lights up and turns off. 4.
