I bought this Mountain Hardwear parka for my wife and she loves it. It also has a shorter version, but more suitable for rainy weather. I have it in her normal medium size and it fits her with a tailored fit so she says if you plan on wearing it over heavy layers then go up a size. The material is thin, stretches a little. Good length sleeves with adjustable Velcro to tighten around the wrist. My wife really likes that the hood has a bit of a stiff part at the top that helps keep it in shape. The pockets are also waterproof with waterproof zippers to keep your valuables dry. My wife used this in a rainstorm and it kept her phone dry. It also has ventilation zips on the side to ventilate your body and keep you cool. In general, now she will go on a trip. It's thin and light and compact. This is a great length and can be worn over thick layers or thin layers depending on the weather.
