Fitted, soft, maybe not so practical.

My wife loves her cropped Arc'teryx jacket more than this Mountain Hardwear. This jacket is slightly better than Arc'teryx. It's softer and more elastic. But its length is somewhere between the waist and knees, and it's more like a fitted jacket in the back, so while she likes it, it's not as comfortable for walking around town as her shorter jackets. Quality rain jacket, superbly tailored and excellent in the rain. It is breathable but also keeps you dry in wet weather. Finally, if you like…

Pros
  • Machine wash

Perfect fit, well tailored, beautiful and neutral

I ordered a medium-sized jacket. I'm 5'8", about 150 lbs. Measurements: BUST 34.5", WAIST 28", HIPS 41". I have long arms and the sleeves were a good length for me. The fabric was good, the whole jacket is quite light. I live in the Pacific Northwest so it's good to have a thin waterproof jacket but it has enough room to cover you when it gets cold. This fit me but was roomy enough to wear a sweatshirt underneath if needed. The waist has an elastic band at the back to give some shape so it's…

Pros
  • 40D Wear Resistant Face Fabric
Cons
  • The list would be long.

Lightweight, durable. Build Quality

This jacket is perfect for rainy days. It is absolutely waterproof and the hood even has a hard visor built into it so that the rain simply rolls off. The hood also has a drawstring at the back to adjust if you feel it's too big. The hem of the jacket can also be adjusted with a drawstring if it seems too big for you. Sizing for a snug fit helps better insulate heat. It is on the long side so the medium size fits anyone who is medium to tall. I find it attractive when you're tall and skinny…

Pros
  • 100% Nylon
Cons
  • So far so good

High quality parka.

I bought this Mountain Hardwear parka for my wife and she loves it. It also has a shorter version, but more suitable for rainy weather. I have it in her normal medium size and it fits her with a tailored fit so she says if you plan on wearing it over heavy layers then go up a size. The material is thin, stretches a little. Good length sleeves with adjustable Velcro to tighten around the wrist. My wife really likes that the hood has a bit of a stiff part at the top that helps keep it in shape…

Pros
  • 4-way stretch
Cons
  • Negative gift

Nice but not great in dusty environments

Can't say I like this parka. I ordered it for my wife in black and a few seconds after she took it out of the plastic wrap it started collecting dust like crazy. We live in a very dusty part of the world near a desert and what's worse the climate is dry and we get static on a regular basis so I suspect the nylon this parka is made of has a serious static problem Has. top up We have several other Mountain Hardwear products that are also 100% nylon and do not have this problem. Or maybe it is…

Pros
  • Dry.Q Active waterproof, moisture-wicking technology
Cons
  • Annoying

I like it but better for regular torso ladies (not petite)

I've had a chance to see both Mountain Hardware Stretch Ozonic in jackets and parkas. There are only two differences between the two raincoats: (1) the overall length, where the parka is significantly longer than the jacket and covers the back, and (2) the wide elastic waistband on the parka, but no waistband on the jacket. . If you're under 5ft 2in, have a very short torso, or like to layer, I would recommend a jacket over a parka as the waistband of the parka pulls up the torso a bit on…

Pros
  • Large vents under armpits
Cons
  • Doubtful
