My wife loves her cropped Arc'teryx jacket more than this Mountain Hardwear. This jacket is slightly better than Arc'teryx. It's softer and more elastic. But its length is somewhere between the waist and knees, and it's more like a fitted jacket in the back, so while she likes it, it's not as comfortable for walking around town as her shorter jackets. Quality rain jacket, superbly tailored and excellent in the rain. It is breathable but also keeps you dry in wet weather. Finally, if you like the style, you'll no doubt find this excellent and durable jacket on par with Arc'teryx, North Face and other similar jackets - and in some ways you might find it better.
